Sanctuary Model and Substance Abuse Treatment

One of the first Sanctuary Certified program is a substance abuse program for women in Oklahoma: Rose Rock Recovery Center.
There is a high level of co-morbidity between substance abuse and trauma-related mental health and social problems. As a result, substance abuse problems need to be addressed in the context of trauma-informed treatment.

Interim House is a comprehensive women’s substance abuse program that includes a six-month residential treatment program, an intensive outpatient program, and an on-going outpatient program. Founded in 1971 as the first women’s residential program in Pennsylvania, Interim has a proven track record of success. Interim House has been consulting with Sanctuary faculty for a number of years.
